About
Our Story: Echappe Dancewear was sparked by a passionate dancer's quest for high-quality dancewear. Despite trying multiple different brands, sizes, and styles, founder Gabrielle couldn't find a leotard she truly felt confident in.
Echappe emerged in an effort to solve her own problem - create dancewear made by a dancer for a dancer. Echappe merges quality, style, and support converge effortlessly in one place.
The Fit: We're dedicated to revolutionizing the leotard purchasing experience. Our mission is simple: merge style, comfort, and support seamlessly within each leotard.
Presently, our Echappe Leotard caters to cups A-D, and US Standard sizes XS-XL, but our commitment is to extend further. We're actively striving to broaden our size range and support offerings to accommodate more dancers, enhancing inclusivity and comfort for everyone.
Sustainability: Since the 1990s, the fast fashion surge has ruthlessly exploited workers in developing nations, subjecting them to appalling conditions and minimal wages. This pursuit of ever-changing fashion not only exploits labor but also devastates the environment, contributing massively to pollution and wastefulness.
Echappe Dancewear believes in making a difference by meticulously crafting our dancewear right here in the US, championing sustainability every step of the way. Our commitment to local production isn't solely about quality control, it's about reducing our carbon footprint, supporting American artisans, and ensuring ethical practices from start to finish.
The Founder: Hi everyone! My name is Gabby and I am the owner of Echappe Dancewear.
As many of you know, I speak boldly on ballet being for everybody and for every BODY! Growing up in ballet, it was impossible to find a leotard that held my chest while also being flattering. I felt I would never find that piece, and even after returning to ballet 16 years later, the piece still did not exist.
Echappe was born to give dancers the style and supportive they need to perform confidently. I designed the piece with fabrics that feel luxurious and secure
It was important that the piece would be designed in the United States. I wanted to be able to speak proudly when asked "who makes these pieces" and that I could personally meet every seamstress that would touch Echappe.
I hope this piece gives you the confidence it gave me trying it on! Cheers to changing ballet <3
